Football crazy population of Salcete will soon be deserving users of this modern sports infra-design project!
This state-of-the art project is spread over a sprawling area of 17675.00 sq.mts and provides sports infrastructure consisting of Football Ground, Spectator Stands with Ancillary facilities (having Built-Up area of approx.878.00 Sq.m). The salient features of the project are as follows:
FOOTBALL GROUND
Proposed football ground shall be of size 100.00m x 68.00m with additional warm up area 3.00 mts wide all around the ground. Covered with natural grass turf and shall have facility of conventional sprinkler irrigation system. Spectator stand seating on west sides of ground shall be provided for public viewing (approx. 1100 spectators). The Ground shall be covered with Net fencing on three sides.
The space below the Spectator Stands is utilized for provision for changing rooms for separate teams with adequate toilet facility; Office, Store room, VIP room, Referee’s/First aid room, electrical room, VIP parking, Spectator toilet. And stage for prize distribution.
